Wimbledon Foundation. Can you help?

Dear Mr Neale,

We wanted to tell you all about a new initiative launched by the Wimbledon’s charitable foundation during the fortnight of the tennis Championships and wondered if we can get families of Beatrix Potter School involved.

It’s called the ‘Thank Your Champion’ Scavenger Hunt”.

The idea is to adorn your windows with anything and everything Wimbledon related but especially these downloadable trophies.

The children can decorate and colour in the trophies and name their personal champion. Then all that’s left to do is to go on a hunt around the neighbourhood looking for ‘Wimbledon Things’. This initiative extends beyond this borough – so do pass the message on to friends and family across the nation!

There is also a chance to win a prize – all you have to do is share your scavenger hunt photos and you could win £250 worth of Wimbledon goodies. Just tag @WimbledonFdn on Twitter and use the hashtag #ThankYourChampion.

It’s a fantastic initiative designed to shine a light on all the good work carried out by the Wimbledon Foundation and all the 128 charities they support – a large proportion of which are local to Wandsworth and Merton.  See the campaign video here for more information. https://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/video/media/6260802728001.html  You’ll see that one of the pupils from Beatrix Potter Nursery, Jonah Lawrence, features in the video and has named Ms Bage as his champion!  Really sweet.

Thank you for all your support.

Milly Lawrence  On behalf of the Wimbledon Foundation
