Remembrance 2017

Published November 8, 2017

Year Six pupils were asked to  read poems from the Great War  with Burntwood School in their remembrance day event.  Our pupils performed and read brilliantly in front of 1500 very respectful girls.  Afterwards we presented a Canadian and British Poppy tribute on their remembrance garden.  We were joined by a Chelsea Pensioner who then came to talk to BP pupils.  He commented on the stunning behaviour and interest of our pupils.  On Monday Year Two and Year Six, joined by the new Vicar and Rector of our Community Church Mary Magdalen will present poppies and wreaths to our Newfoundland and Australian soldiers of the Great War we have adopted.  Our Newfoundland page is well worth a visit.

At our Newfoundland remembrance we were joined by the Rev Phillipa and Rector Sarah from Mary Magdalen our community church.
