Secondary Transfer
Our year 6 leavers move on to a wide range of local schools in both the state and independent sector. Meetings are organised at school to guide you in the transfer process.
Recent transfers can be seen here: Secondary Transfer choices BP
At our first meeting on the process Mrs Robertson will outline some of the important areas parents should be aware of. A presentation on general issues will be gone through. We suggest you use the on line system is an easier way to ensure forms arrive safely, but always retain copies.
If you need help to come into school to ask, e mail or drop a note to any year six teacher or the Head, Mrs Robertson. Don’t be concerned about the questions it is important you are getting the best out of the process for your child.
SOME INITIAL INFORMATION
Parents and Carers in London are offered a wide range of schools, from state comprehensive, state selective to the independent sector. Every year Beatrix Potter invites all parents to a meeting to help you to understand how to navigate the choice. We always recommend visiting the secondary school in person so do check the websites of the schools that you are interested in for their open events.
