Greece held many surprises and our hosts were both kind and generous. The school is probably the most disadvantaged of us all being in an area of industrial decline. Our arrival marked a turning point in the school, the parents could see that our interest in their school was genuine and that if we were here then the school must be important. As you can see we were entertained by traditional Greek dances, we had time to see the work we had gathered as part of the project and were welcomed by the children.
During break Mr Neale introduced the children to some traditional English Playground games. Not surprisingly the Greek children had similar games although with different rules. The partners also had time to relax in the Aegean and here we can see the interpid Dutch and German partners at play. We had an opportunity to visit the site of the Olympic games which was absolutely stunning and in the picture is the entrance to the stadium.
