Our 2005 Ofsted overall summary stated:

·          Pupils achieve very well in key areas of learning by the end of Year 6 and often reach well above average standards.

·          Reading and speaking and listening are above expectations throughout the school.

·          Teaching is good overall and very good in Year 6.

·          There is a very good work ethic; pupils have very good attitudes to work and behave very well.

·          There are good opportunities for enriching the curriculum that include very good links with the community.

·          The school makes very good arrangements for the pupils’ care and health and safety.

·          There are very good links with parents and these support the work of the school effectively.

·          Pupils’ moral and social development is very good.

     School offers good value for money

We have been the top non church school and our results clearly show us achieving well above the national average as well as tackling the underachievement of pupils who join us with difficulties or issues of low standards.

In summary we are achieving high standards when compared to all schools and similar schools across our local and national areas
